- For best results, run the engine until normal operating temperature is
reached, allow it to cool down, and then re-torque bolts to specification. - Using the special cylinder head bolt wrench (tool code 09221-32001), first loosen slightly, and then tighten to specified torque. Tightening torque for cylinder head bolts:
- Cold [At engine temperature of approximately 20°C (68°F)]: 88 – 98 Nm (900 – 1,000 kg.cm., 65 – 72 lb.ft.)
- Hot [At engine temperature of approximately 80°C (176°F)]: 98 – 108 Nm (1,000 – 1,100 kg.cm., 72 – 80 lb.ft.)
